  • Thaneer vittan kilangu grows in low areas. It has leaves that look like pine needles and it grows up to 2 meters tall. 
  • The flowers are hermaphrodites, which means they have both male and female organs, and the plants are pollinated by bees. 
  • The fruits are small, round, and turn red when they ripen.

  • The fruits grow on the plant after the flowers die off. They turn red when they are ready to be harvested, but there can only be two or three seeds inside each fruit.
